Merry Christmas baby! Here's how to get through baby's first Christmas relaxed.

It's the most wonderful time of the year! And especially with a new born in your arms. That very first Christmas with your baby is something very special. To keep that wonderful feeling forever, keep Christmas relaxed and make beautiful memories. How? You can find out here.

Ho, ho, ho! Slow down and relax. Christmas often brings with it stress and your baby senses that all too well. This can cause your little one to become restless and tearful, which is something you don't want. So take it easy during those first holidays with your baby. Slow down and don't plan too many appointments. You can do that later. Above all, enjoy that very first Christmas with your little one. These are special days that you want to remember because they are so nice, not because your bucket overflowed and you were under the Christmas tree with an overexcited baby.

Christmas dinner? May you skip it! With a baby in your arms, you don't have time for that at all. And no appetite for it, perhaps. Want to organize something anyway? Then make it easy on yourself and let your guests bring something. If everyone takes care of an aisle, all you have to do is slide in. Do you notice that your baby gets a little overexcited from all the fuss? Then take your mini with you in the baby carrier: close to mom and away from all the noise. And you have your hands free to join in the meal.

Visiting during baby's first Christmas This too is best skipped during baby's first Christmas. But it's also cozy and, of course, you're a proud mom who likes to show off her baby. So are you going to friends or family anyway? Make sure you have a safe place where your little one can sleep in peace. Like in the baby carrier or in a baby nest. Tip: turn your feeding pillow and our relaxation cover into a crib where your mini can take a quiet nap.

Start baby's first Christmas tradition Those very first Christmases with your new family member are something you'll want to capture, of course. Start a family tradition, for example by taking an annual cheesy photo of your baby(ren) by the Christmas tree. If your child can't sit independently yet, you can place some cushions around the tree. Or use our relax cover Christmas edition, especially for festive season, to place by the tree every year. More durable than a wrong Christmas sweater and just as fun. Ok, even more fun actually.

Make a baby's first Christmas tree You may ask yourself if it's useful to put up a Christmas tree when your baby is just starting to crawl. But if the mini doesn't yet, a tree full of lights and baubles is super cozy to look at from the playpen. A really nice reminder of that first Christmas is a bauble for your baby. You can have one made, but doing it yourself is even more fun. Buy a plain colored bauble and use window markers to write your baby's name and date of birth on it. And the date of his or her first Christmas, of course. Every year it can go up the tree.

Keep the balls low The proverbial then, the baubles prefer to be a little higher with a grabby baby. By having few (or preferably no) expectations, keep the balls nice and low. Go with your baby's rhythm, opt for convenience and enjoy baby's first Christmas to the fullest.

Happy Holidays!
